![]() So. Many. Options. So, where to start? First thing you may think of is expense, believe it or not, you can trade in that old shower curtain for a shower enclosure for less than you think. Best way I can describe it is this way: - $ Framed glass enclosures - $$ Semi-framed glass enclosures (pictured) - $$$ Frameless glass enclosures Once you've figured out a budget for your enclosure, now it's time to decide on the options. Obviously, the options you choose will drive cost as well. Hardware - what finish hardware would you like? The common hardware finish options (and also the most affordable) are chrome, brushed nickel, etc. Most people tend to match hardware finish with their existing plumbing fixtures, towel bars, etc. As far as styles of hardware go, the sky is the limit. Whether you like Victorian style or contemporary, there is a style that will match your home and taste. After selecting your hardware options, is the obvious - Glass. Ultimately glass will be your biggest factor relating to cost. Primarily, glass type and thickness, and square footage. Most affordable glass options are clear and obscure but are essentially endless. From acid etched and rain glass, to custom engravings, again, the sky is truly the limit. Thickness can range from 1/4" -1/2" based on the enclosure you choose. Finally, the design of your enclosure. This is what can really make a custom shower 'pop'. Starting with the basics of sliding doors to hinged doors, going to full on custom designs it can all be done. Whatever environment your shower or tub may be in chances are an enclosure can be installed. Contact us at Beach Glass and we'd be happy to go over all of your options, and give you a free quote to get started. |
