Frameless Glass Shower Doors in Portland, ME

Portland has kept us busy for years, from property rehabs and a penthouse on Munjoy Hill to steam showers in the West End. Many Portland bathrooms are tight or tucked under a roofline, so many of our jobs here are about making the most of a small or oddly shaped space. Beach Glass & Window Company designs and installs custom frameless glass shower enclosures, sliders and steam shower enclosures. Our workshop is on Clarks Mills Road in Dayton. When you call, you'll talk with Chris or David, the same people who measure your bathroom, draw your enclosure and install it.

Frameless enclosures start at $1,000–1,500. Every estimate is free and itemized. Request a free estimate

Frameless Shower Services for Portland Homes

  • Frameless shower doors and enclosures. Custom-sized doors, inline panels, corner and neo-angle enclosures, knee-wall and half-wall setups, curbless and walk-in showers, designed and installed by us.
  • Steam shower enclosures. Custom frameless steam shower enclosures, run up to the ceiling and built to the opening.
  • Sliding glass shower and tub doors. Heavy-glass bypass sliders, Serenity-style sliders, Hydroslide enclosures and barn-door-style sliders for tubs, walk-in showers, and tighter bathrooms where a swinging door won't fit.
  • ShowerGuard coated glass. Available on request, including low-iron glass for a clearer, less green edge.
  • Hardware finishes. Hardware from C.R. Laurence (CRL) and FHC in every finish they offer, including polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, satin brass, and brushed bronze, for hinges, handles, clips, and sliders.
  • Custom mirrors. Bathroom and gym mirrors cut to size, with cut-outs or bevel edges.
  • Insulated glass and window glass. Replacement of foggy or broken dual-pane (insulated) units, all sizes and shapes.
  • Flat and painted glass. Painted-glass backsplashes and accent walls; annealed, tempered, and laminated glass; acrylic.

We don't do full bathroom remodels. We work closely with local builders, designers, remodelers and tile setters, and we measure once the tile is finished.

Built for Portland bathrooms

  • Tight spaces. Sliders and Hydroslide enclosures don't need room for a door to swing. When a typical configuration won't fit, we'll work with you on a practical solution.
  • Rooflines and skylights. In top-floor and attic bathrooms we cut panels to the slope, or clip a corner, so the glass fits under the ceiling.
  • Steam showers. We've built full steam shower enclosures in Portland, including one with ShowerGuard coated glass and acid-etched glass shutters.
  • Rehabs and multi-bath projects. We've installed showers for builders on Portland property rehabs and multi-bath projects, including a three-bathroom penthouse on Munjoy Hill.

  1. Consultation and walkthrough. Chris or David visits your Portland home to measure and talk through layout, glass, and hardware options. We bring physical hardware and glass samples.
  2. Design, drawing, and estimate. You approve dimensions, door swing, glass spec, and finish before anything is ordered.
  3. Fabrication. Glass is fabricated locally. Typical turnaround is 3–6 weeks from measure to install.
  4. Installation. We come back and install on your schedule, then clean up before we leave.

Portland Frameless Shower FAQ

How much does a frameless shower door cost in Portland? Pricing depends on size, layout, glass, and hardware. Frameless enclosures start at $1,000–1,500 and go up from there. Every estimate is free and itemized.

How long does it take? Typical turnaround is 3–6 weeks from measure to install, because every piece of glass is made to your measurements.

My bathroom is small and the door has nowhere to swing. What are my options? A slider, such as a Serenity-style or heavy-glass bypass slider, or a Hydroslide enclosure doesn't need swing room. We'll show you what fits at the walkthrough.

Can you fit glass under a sloped ceiling or skylight? Yes. Every panel is made to our on-site measurements, so we can cut glass to the slope or clip a corner where the ceiling comes down.

Do you build steam shower enclosures? Yes. We design and install custom steam shower enclosures that run up to the ceiling, made to fit the opening.

Can you work with my builder or remodeler? Yes. In Portland we've worked alongside builders, designers and tile setters on everything from single bathrooms to property rehabs, and we measure once the tile is finished.

Do you serve Munjoy Hill and the West End? Yes. Our workshop is at 371 Clarks Mills Road in Dayton, and we serve homeowners all over Portland, including Munjoy Hill, the East End and the West End.
